These gloves are symbols of the Queen's Order of Courtesy. It is presented by the Queen to individuals who demonstrate consistent and exemplary courtesy to all members of the East Kingdom and Society.
The embroidery for the first glove was completed at Birka, where I bought the glove at the vendors and sewed it on (for nought - the recipient wasn't here!). Basic fill stitch using regular embroidery thread on cotton. The glove is leather.
The second glove was completed at my leisure using a DMC "rayon" thread on cotton and then appliqued on a leather glove. I am hoping the thread stands up to use better. More completed gloves to come.
