Background: I was getting very tired of the plain poles we had and wanted to spice up our tents. I was originally going to stain the wood, but the stain was very expensive. So I wound up painting them. I used latex paint, but even with a few days of drying outside, 2 weeks of storage and then 2 weeks of Pennsic, the paint never completely dried until AFTER Pennsic was over!
