Holy
Wine

You’re
in my blood like holy wine
I
just can’t get you off my mind
Memories
of you so bittersweet
Fill
my veins with remembered heat
Whatever
happened to you and me
Memories
paint us being happy
Living
laughing filled with joy
Everyone,
everything our personal toy
Time
goes on, we grow jaded
Hate,
lust, fear have all faded
What’s
left is painted with fairy dust
Left
there so you don’t see the rust
Happiness,
joy wasted on youth
Who
can’t comprehend the simple truth
A
life filled with too many lies
And
so many people you love just die
And
round the circle we go again
In
the emotional tide that never ends
Never
speaking what’s on our minds
Hearts
beating, life’s been unkind
You’re
in my blood like holy wine
I
just can’t get you off my mind
Memories
of you so bittersweet
Fill
my veins with remembered heat
