I finished my Fan Stitch Stocking for our first Christmas alone.
I LOVE the body of this. I want to make sweaters, mittens, scarves, etc with this stitch. I hate the knitted heel and toe. The knitted cuff is fine, but could've been bigger.
I also didn't like the "hanger". I doubled it from what the pattern suggested and attached with more than a simple slip stitch. I want to be able to put booty in this!
I used Flint Bernat Roving for the Contrast and Premier Yarns Deborah Norville Saturate in Flourite and Clematis It is hooked with a J hook and the heel and toe are knit with 10 DPNS. The kitchener heel and toe were a bit difficult, may try something else if I make it again.
