Starstuff Cowl

This is the Starstuff Cowl.  Once you get the hang of it, this is a fairly simple pattern. It’s getting it started and getting the hang of the pattern that is frustrating for a newer crocheter. The time consuming part is weaving in all the ends (2 on each star). I don’t recommend waiting until the end to weave them all in, but leave yourself at least one row in case you mess something up…

Using a G Hook, I made 4 more rows then the pattern required for a total of 72 stars.  That's 144 ends I had to weave in.  The individual stars went fairly quickly, but weaving in all those ends *shudder*

Another view of it.  It really does change color based on background and lighting.  I don't know why.  It is Lion Brand Tweed Stripes yarn in Caribbean.  Nothing fancy.
