This is the Starstuff Cowl. Once you get the hang of it, this is a fairly simple pattern. It’s getting it started and getting the hang of the pattern that is frustrating for a newer crocheter. The time consuming part is weaving in all the ends (2 on each star). I don’t recommend waiting until the end to weave them all in, but leave yourself at least one row in case you mess something up…
Using a G Hook, I made 4 more rows then the pattern required for a total of 72 stars. That's 144 ends I had to weave in. The individual stars went fairly quickly, but weaving in all those ends *shudder*
Another view of it. It really does change color based on background and lighting. I don't know why. It is Lion Brand Tweed Stripes yarn in Caribbean. Nothing fancy.
