I made another bead knitted bag using Myra Wood's patterns. It has a slightly different shape and a button closure.
Materials:
1 hank size 8 seed beads (approximately 1500 beads) Number of beads needed varies based on bag shape. I used 4 strands of Preciosa Czech beads in clear lined for this bag .
1 ball of size 10 crochet cotton
1 pair of knitting needles to get the tightness you need for the bag. I used Kollage Square size 1.5US 9" circulars. The firm cable was a bit fussy, but it made it easy to put down and pick back up.
A size B/1-2.25mm crochet hook for the handle of the bag.
The button is from a tin of my Grandmother's buttons.

The start of the bag. Growing bigger.
THe size compared to a US $1 bill.
The full bag off the cable and ready to be sewn shut. No fancy hanging stuff this time!
The bag with the button sewn on.
The bag opened and awaiting a treasure.
