Ribbed Hat

I found the pattern on YouTube.  It was crocheted using Caron yarn and an I hook.

Basic pattern is:

Row 1: ch3, 15dc in magic circle, sl st to top of 1st dc

Row 2: ch3, 15fpdc, sl st to 1st fpdc

Row 3: ch 3, *fpdc, dc between*, sl st

Rows 4-5: ch3, *fpdc, 2dc before dc of row beloe*, sl st

Rows 6-9: ch3, *fpdc, 3dc before dc of row below*, sl st

Rows 10-16: ch3, *fpdc, 4dc before dc of row below*, sl st

Rows 17-19: ch3, *fpdc, bpdc*

ch1, cut & weave in ends

I added 6 more rows of 4dc (so 10-22).  Then to make the “ribbing” even, I bpdc around the ch3.
