So today I decided to learn some fingerloop braiding to replace the nasty cord holding my daughter’s Italian Renaissance dress sleeves together.
I found Ingrid’s Loopbraider’s YouTube page and started practicing. She was easy to understand and follow and though I watched the 2-strand first, I jumped into a 3-strand braid. I started with a separated loop top, then into the “square” braid, then a second loop and finished with a flat braid.
Not too bad for my first using acrylic worsted weight yarn. Next was a 3-strand departed loop braid.

There’s a fat black side, a thin black line opposite, a twist of the dark and light blues and diagonals of the dark and light blue produced. It looks like awesome edging.
