This was an online class I took on 2/25/2021 from the San Francisco School of Needlework and Design to show me how to do the "counted" work. I finally finished it at the beginning of this year, but only added the spangles today (5/31/2022) as I wanted to panel it prior to adding them and never did. Yes, I ironed it before the pics.
According to the class writeup, the embroidery was inspired by the painting of the Riders of the Sidhe by John Duncan depicting the Fair Folk on horseback.
Materials used: Even count linen with pattern pre-stenciled, anchor floss, 4 & 5mm spangles, needle and thread.
Stitches: Counted Fan, Grecian Blackwork, Zig Zag Blackwork, Octagonal Star Blackwork, Honeycomb Blackwork, Hexagon with Box, Counted Stitch Straight Gobeline, Straight Stitches, Counted Cross Stitch and Stem Stitch.
Paneled for Athena's Thimble at Pennsic on 8/9/2022 and recieved Competence in Blackwork / Monochrome
