This was a kit called "The Stumpwork Heart" by Liz Turner Diehl. I used my parent’s last initials. The kit came with the 28-count "linen-type" ground fabric, cotton embroidery floss, and medium and heavy weight gold metallic thread.

THE PROGRESS STEPS
I cut out the hearts in felt to create the raised look of the heart. When you place them on the fabric, you start with the smallest heart first and build up the ground for your stitches.
