I completed this laid and couch piece at Pennsic. It was a "leftover sale" item from Tanya Bentham's Collection and came with "random" naturally dyed wools, a marked canvas, a booklet with the descriptions and instructions for the stitches to be used, a color chart that did not exactly match the colors I recieved, and a needle.
The Bayeux Stitch, also called laid and couched work, is fairly simple to do. I did not think I had good coverage, but was told it was fine. I think the best description of the final piece was "fox and rabbit reading the kama sutra".
Paneled for Athena's Thimble at Pennsic on 8/9/2022 and recieved Competence in Laid and Couched.
