I stepped in to help create a Cap of Maintenance for a lady in Colorado getting her Pelican. I have never met Wyolet, but I hope her day was wonderful! We were given wool, linen to line and told to do what we wanted with our assignments.

This is what I was given for the Baroness' Chalice.
I ordered wool thread that never came in, so I used silk. I never again will use silk for Bayuex! Or at least I will find better silk.
I did a running stitch to keep the wool and linen from moving too much.
I shrank the image and transferred it to the stabilizer and started sewing.
The final piece. I think I messed up and took the black mouth too high on the trunk, but it looks OK.
