A Car
With No Gas
A filk of A Horse With No Name by America
Written and performed by Temair ingen Muiredaich
Lyrics
On the first part of the journey
the car was packed and ready to go
We had garb and tents and all the bling
We were ready to hit the road
The first thing we met was the pouring rain
Where the sky met the ground
The air was moist and the garb bags leaked
But we smiled as we drove south
We've been down to Gulf Wars in a car with no gas
It felt good to get there at last
Three days later with the dashboard lit up
We rolled into camp and set our tents up
La la la la la la...
After two days in the Gulf Wars sun
Our skin began to turn red
And after eight days having had our fun
We looked forward to a real bed
And the stories we told of deeds that unfolded
Made me sad to think it was the end
You see We've been down to Gulf Wars in a car with no gas
It felt good to get there at last
Three days later with the dashboard lit up
We rolled into camp and set our tents up
La la la la la la...
After nine days we headed north to Buc Eees
'Cause it was something we had to see
Then came more rain and cold and lightning
And PA gave us snow!
Gulf
Wars has life all around
With changing weather up above
Tornadoes, rain, mud, sand and ants in the ground
But the humans will give you love.
You see We've been down to Gulf Wars in a car with no gas
It felt good to get there at last
Three days later with the dashboard lit up
We rolled into camp and set our tents up
La la la la la la...
EASTERN THINGS!
