Bargello Tissue Box Cover

I decided to make a tissue box cover.  I do not know what obsessed me to do such a thing.  I had to reorder thread twice because I didn't get enough the first time.  Another mistake was that I thought one of the pieces was one row too long and didn't count it.  So I cut one of the pieces one row shorter to "match" the other two and then had to cut the other two.  I imitated a bargello ribbon patter with no repeats and made the pattern based on measurements of a tissue box I had.  I started with less colors and kept adding colors in addition to not having enough of each color to start with.  Note: If you order from DMC.org, it takes 3 weeks for them to process your order then another week for the wool to get here.  I also know where there's a mistake, but I refuse to rip it out and redo it because most people won't notice.  All DMC wool.  Final color palette below.

Tissue box measurements and hole counting to match.

The "pattern" and hole counts and how much thread I thought I'd need.  Double that because bargello.

The plastic canvas cut out to the correct dimensions

The final color palette

Getting started.  Almost a flame stitch, more of a sharp ribbon

Side 1 done.  This takes a lot longer than you'd think.

Almost done with the top.  I noticed my mistake and become paralyzed....

I finally moved on.  Awaiting more thread to finish.
