I signed up for the English Garden SAL by Stitchonomy I bought the kit excited for English flowers, herbs and bushes - my Aunt was English and I always loved her gardens. When the SAL got going, I came to realize it was a lot of sayings and WAY too many French knots. The SAL finished while we were at Pennsic but I came home and finished it up anyway. Though not what I was expecting for an “English Garden”, it is still cute. Some of the color choices don't really pop and I did seed beads instead of French knots. I may get a hanger for it so I can display it as it's a lot of nice sentiments.
The finished piece
Working out the layout
Got the garden "path" mostly done and started on the next parts
Path done and working on the frames to be filled with each new release. They came every 4 days.
The pattern called for French knots for the duck eyes. The seed beads were too much and so I left them.
Still going along. I must've stopped taking pics with Pennsic prep and then once I got back I just slammed through the last 5.
