Book Nook

This was a spur of the moment purchase at Michael's store.  I love Alice in Wonderland had always wanted to do a book nook, but hadn't found one I loved.  This took me between 8 and 9 hours not including breaks and I managed to get through it in one day.  Only 1 piece of it was lost to the cats (the water from the tea pot) so I feel it was a success.

There are lots of little pieces and you need to be careful as some of the cardboard ones ben really easily.  This particular one has a bottom underneath that is then covered with a "mirror" that you can see through when you turn on the lights.

The finished piece from the front.

The bottom "mirror".  There's another layer of the room below there.

Peeking in at that lower layer with the white rabbit and bookshelves.

A bookcase and table on the side

Cheshire cat right in the center.  Lots to look at.  Lots to put on.

Another view.  The wires are for the lighting and will be in the wall when I put it on.

Alice hanging from the bookshelf on the other wall.

That wily white rabbit is hard to photograph

The finished piece from the top - another hard to photograph angle due to the plastic in the keyhole.
